Sun Exposure and Protective Behaviours, Ontario Report 1998
Ontario Sun Safety Working Group

The Advisory Committee for the National Survey on Sun Exposure and Protective Behaviours conducted its first survey in 1996. The Ontario Sun Safety Working group interpreted the Ontario results and developed recommendations applicable to Ontario. The report documents sun exposure, sunburns, and protective behaviours for adults, children under the age of 12 and outdoor workers. It also provides information regarding knowledge of the UV Index.


The Second National Sun Survey, Ontario Report 2006


A second National Sun Survey was conducted following the summer of 2006. The Ontario report provides the results of the Ontario-specific data.


Strategic Directions for the Primary Prevention of Skin Cancer in Canada (January 2006)
This report was developed by the National Skin Cancer Prevention Committee of the Primary Prevention Action Group of the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control (now known as the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer). A goal of the committee was to develop a coordinated evidence-based Canadian strategic plan for the primary prevention of skin cancer in collaboration with the relevant government agencies and non-governmental partners.
